Our client, a global leader in the design, development and manufacture of Acrylics, is currently recruiting for Senior Instrumentation and Control Engineer / I&E Area Asset Engineer supporting our 24 / 7 manufacturing assets.

The Cassel Site at Billingham, Teesside is a top tier COMAH site and has a flowsheet of 214K Tonnes of Methyl Methacrylate per annum. Their talented people are the energy and driving force behind a dynamic business that supplies a range of growing sectors and geographic markets in EAME, America and Asia.

Within this role you will provide strategic direction and functional leadership for the development and application of all instrumentation and associated systems, as well as developing standards for the management of safety instrumented systems and standardisation of instrument technology. You will actively provide coaching and mentoring to support the development of less experienced engineers across site.

As the Responsible Instrument Engineer on site you will be providing technical leadership to drive and embed engineering standards, set strategies and develop maintenance policies for the Cassel Site. You will also be an active member of their engineering global network and a member of the SIS Asset Integrity panel.

You will have experience gained within a similar background and will have a passion for SHE, Process and personal Safety and motivation to achieving continuous improvement in terms of reliability and cost efficiency.

You should have a good working knowledge of industry standards IEC61508/11, minimum 5 years+ experience in petrochemical industry (or equivalent) and experience of COMAH, MAH, LOPA and SIL determination.
