Installation Engineer

World wide role (Commutable from Poole, Bournemouth, Weymouth, Southampton, Portmouth, Gosport)

£38,000 – £42,000 + Worldwide travel + Pension

This is a great opportunity to join a global business who work within the marine sector and carry out installations across the world. The company is looking for a committed individual that is happy to travel worldwide for long periods of time.

The role will suit an installation engineer from a marine background with experience working on large ships. You will have project experience carrying out site installation, planning and design.

The role itself involves travelling worldwide, you must be willing to stay away from long durations and can be abroad for as long as 8 weeks at a time. You will be visiting ship yards and conducting the installation, planning and design of large, high value projects. You will install equipment into new build and retrofit projects liaising shipyard employees and contractors. You will also be responsible for conducting surveys and assessments; feeding back to the engineering department and improving the company’s operational procedures. This is a hands on role and you will be required to get involved with rectifying mechanical/electrical installation issues and writing detailed installation/progress reports.

This role will suit a mechanically bias, installation engineer with experience within the marine industry. You will have a thorough understanding of large ships/vessels and ideally have worked with waste water treatment systems.

The person

*Mechanically bias, installation engineer with experience working on large marine vessels
*Basic understanding of electrical systems
*HNC/D qualification in marine/industrial engineering
*Experience working on large, high value marine projects
