Infrastructure Systems Administrator

Infrastructure Systems Administrator – West Sussex – £35K – £45K + 10% Bonus + on call

Radius is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our rapidly growing international Clients’ team of specialists in the domain of Infrastructure Software. The main purpose of the job role is dedicated to the support and development of mission critical Infrastructure Services for a 24×7 operation.
This position offers a competitive salary, including on call, overtime and a 10% bonus

Main Responsibilities:
• To provide technical expertise for in-scope technology platforms whether hosted on premise or in the cloud
• You will work with our IT Operations Centre to provide second and third line support services
• You will be responsible for maintaining a monitoring regime such that technologies are monitored for availability, capacity, performance and events in accordance with IT standard frameworks
• Develop and maintain documentation and operational procedures required to sustain the operation of inscope services
• Maintain technical standards for all in-scope technologies
• Work with Change Management to assess and analyse risk associated with any change to in-scope technology platforms
• Contribute to the design, test and implementation of new solutions where change is required to in-scope technology services

Requirements:
• CRB Security Check required
• Strong experience and ability in the specified technology areas (see below)
• Dedication to delivering excellent service levels for IT Infrastructure services in a 24×7 environment
• Understanding of the benefits of cloud computing
• Experience providing support out of hours for mission critical IT infrastructure
• Qualifications and experience

Essential Requirements:
• Significant expertise in installation, configuration, administration, patching, upgrade and problem resolution in a range of the following technologies:
• Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012 and Active Directory, DNS and DHCP services, Configuration Management (SCCM), Microsoft Exchange 2010, Microsoft Sharepoint 2013, Office365 equivalents, Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), Remote desktop services (RDS 2012) and Citrix, Edge technologies including Microsoft UAG and Direct Access, security technologies including Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Radius and SecureID
• Good understanding of core network principles and technologies including Wi-Fi

Desirable Requirements:
• Formal certifications from Microsoft (MCSE, MCP, MCSA)
• Experience of VMWare 4.1 and 5.5
• Experience of 24×7, mission critical environments
• Experience in the exploitation of cloud technologies such as Infrastructure as a Service or Software as a Service
• Understanding of complex and highly integrated IT environments
• ITILv3 Foundation and/or ITILv3
