TRANSFORMATION IMPLEMENTATION MANAGER

Role:

The Implementation Manager identifies, documents and co-ordinates preparation and cutover activities for production releases, manages implementation dress rehearsal/walkthrough meetings, post-implementation reviews and cascading lessons learned. They will co-ordinate all readiness and delivery activities with the Project Managers, Test Managers, Service Architect and Operational Readiness Manager. The role reports to the Head of Business Readiness and Change within the Transformation Programme and ensures that all activities required for a successful delivery into live are complete by the point of the Go/No Go decision, co-ordinates cutover resources and ensuring support is in place post-live.

Responsibilities:

Works with key project and programme stakeholders to ensure that all resources are in place to support a delivery into Live and throughout an agreed Warranty period.
Works with the Project Manager(s) to document the readiness criteria and maintains this document to completion prior to live.
Produces, and gains approval to, a detailed implementation plan, which details all implementation activities pre and post live with roles and responsibilities agreed and evidenced.
Ensures a backout plan, cutover plan and escalation plan are all documented and signed off prior to the final Go/No Go call.
Provides regular updates to the Head of Business Readiness and Programme Director pre and post-implementation.
Ensures all IT service support is in place and the agreement is documented and signed off via the relevant Service Architect.
Works with the Business Readiness Manager/Lead to ensure all training and communications activities are in place.
Contributes to the production of the Readiness Assessment by the Operational Readiness Team.
Co-ordinates all implementation communications to interested/impacted parties regarding the change and is the sole voice in communicating implementation success/failure and issues pre and post live.
Tracks agreed project KPI’s once live in conjunction with the Project Managers and reports on them to key stakeholders for an agreed period.
Works with the Programme Finance team and the Project Managers to produce the benefits realisation report.
Identifies Risks and Issues to the Implementation and works with the relevant stakeholders to agree mitigations, or escalations.
Facilitates implementation dress rehearsal/walkthrough meetings and Project Post Implementation review and produces outputs for cascade across the Programme, making recommendations for change for future deliveries.
Manages and tracks any defects found during implementation, managing internal and external resource to resolve, co-ordinating communication of progress to all stakeholders.
