Salary: £33,600 – £36,000 per year
Our client is one of Southend’s largest Design, Manufacturing and Engineering companies and employ over 700 staff. They have state of the art training facilities and run their own in-house apprenticeship scheme ensuring they have quality engineers for the future and they have a requirement for a HR Advisor to provide HR advice and support to the managers and employees.
Our client is looking for someone who is fully CIPD Qualified and with HR generalist experience.
Key Duties for the HR Advisor position include:
– Supporting managers and supervisors with measures designed to facilitate the earlier possible return to work for absent staff and provide a welfare service, assisting with both work and non-work related issues ensuring that all company and legal requirements are met.
– Ensure that the performance review procedure is carried out in a timely manner, that all employees are made aware of the Performance Review process and that reviewers are coached effectively in order that they can meet their responsibilities.
– Assist managers in identifying high achievers/underperforming staff and establish development and /or support programmes as appropriate.
– Carry out sickness absence analysis.
– Support and advise supervisors and managers in carrying out company procedures eg. Disciplinary and Grievance, ensuring that all company and legal requirements are met.
– Organising and running HR Briefings
– Assist in the recruitment and selection process
– Support the industrial, graduate and apprentice recruitment
-Promote the company to colleges, schools and training organisations.
The hours are Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and Fridays 8am to 1.30pm (39 hours per week) with 30 minute lunch break.
Experience within a manufacturing environment will be an advantage and due to the location you will need to have your own transport.
