Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year
Our client is a fast growing and progressive leisure and family entertainment operator. Due to the continued expansion of the business, our client are creating a new people function and looking to recruit a HR & People Development Manager. The HR&PD Manager will be part of the Senior Management Team and report directly into the Head of Operations. Currently the business has 7 sites and circa 300 employees and has opportunities for further growth in 2023 – 2024.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Build, shape, and implement a people strategy that aligns to the needs of the business.
- Continuously review people focussed data, identify areas for development and implement processes for improvement. Areas will include staff turnover, retention, leavers, and length of employment.
- Work collaboratively with the Senior Management Team and take the lead in creating and implementing robust training and development to all levels within the business.
- Work collaboratively with the Senior Management Team and take the lead in ensuring that all people related activity is setting the business up for future success.
- Promote a high-performance culture, ensuring talent is identified and developed to improve the overall performance of the business.
- Anticipate employee issues before they arise and provide proactive and effective advice and support.
- Continually review and evolve the reward and benefits schemes to attract, retain and motivate our teams.
- Implement activities designed to increase awareness of the business and its culture to help grow its profile.
- Possess an up-to-date knowledge and understanding on employment law and manage all HR matters with the support of the Senior Management Team, General Managers, and external specialists.
We are ideally looking for candidates with strong exposure to managing HR and People functions, ideally within Hospitality, Leisure or a service led industry. You must have excellent organisational skills including prioritising important deadlines whilst managing the reactive business needs, the ability to understand and influence data and possess excellent people management skills.
