HR Advisor Leading Leisure Business – Hertfordshire £25K

We are looking for an HR advisor to join the central HR team for one of the leading leisure businesses in the country. The team is dedicated and the environment fast-paced, with a strong focus on service and support to the operating businesses that are located throughout the country.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Work closely with HR colleagues to review and update guidelines in line with current legislation and best practice
Provide a professional and personable business focused, advisory service to leaders in our support centre and on sites
Support with minute taking and/or chairing grievance, disciplinary and capability investigations and hearings
Support with recruitment campaigns
Deliver HR training in absence management, recruitment and selection, disciplinary and grievance skills and appraisals
Manage long term sickness cases
Advise and support our team members who are about to go off on maternity, adoption or paternity leave
Facilitate the company’s drug testing policy
Advise on DBS process
Take responsibility for project work when requested

We are keen to talk to candidates who have a sound practical knowledge and application in all core HR areas, including ER, recruitment and selection, reward & recognition, training & development, family friendly policies and absence and who have or are working towards an HR related qualification. You will need to thrive in a role where you will be given responsibility and accountability to work with senior leaders in the business and where they will be looking for guidance and expertise. As such we are looking for a confident individual with excellent written, communication and IT skills.
