Housing Support Worker – Older Adults

Salary: £33.6 – £42 per hour

BDS are currently looking for a Housing Support Worker to help residents in an Extra Care Scheme for older adults in Hackney.
The Role
As a Housing Support Worker, your role will be to provide practical and emotional support to service users in all activities of daily living through a person-centred approach. You will engage with the older adult service users, respecting their dignity and privacy to build trusting relationships whilst working with them in their own homes within an Extra Care Scheme.
You will work closely with other professionals and agencies in partnership with service users and their carers/relatives to provide a coordinated service which meets the identified needs of the service user.
Duties will include domestic tasks, working in activity groups, accompanying service users on trips and appointments, and supporting service users to maintain their health and well-being.
This role does not include personal care.
Working hours are 17.5 hours per week, working 9am -3pm Monday – Wednesday.
This position is fixed term, ranging around 6 months starting ASAP

* Completing support plans
* Signposting infomation
* Experience with older adults
* Valid Enhanced DBS
