Salary: £22.8 per hour
BBL are currently looking for a Housing Enforcement Analyst to work for our Local Authority client in South London.
MAIN PURPOSE
The successful candidate will work with other Council Departments and partner agencies to collect and co-ordinate data to support the Private Sector Housing Enforcement Project priorities, in accordance with agreed information sharing protocols and in compliance with data protection regulations.
Set up effective systems for collection and dissemination of a wide range of housing enforcement related intelligence, information and data.
Use research and analysis in order to support project planning, problem solving and performance management. Attend multi agency and operational meetings to present and discuss data, and analysis requirements, present evaluated findings, implications and recommendations. Build knowledge and expertise as a resource for the project team in key areas related to housing enforcement and licensing.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience of research and analysis of complex information and data sets.
Experience of using a range of computer based systems to an advanced level.
Experience of using a GIS (e.g. MapInfo) for analysis.
Experience of working with partner agencies and services within an enforcement orientated setting.
Ability to be creative when using data to develop analytical products
Experience of designing, developing and maintaining databases.
Knowledge of legal framework within which datasets must be managed.
Understanding of the issues of equal opportunities in relation to housing enforcement and a strong commitment to the council’s policy on valuing diversity and equality of opportunity
Able to work outside of normal office hours as the need arises.
