Salary: £18 – £20.4 per hour

A small local authority based in Northamptonshire, are looking for a Housing Options Officer to join their team for an initial 3 month period to help work on a project. There is a high possibility this role may be extended beyond this period for the right candidate.

About the role

In this position you’ll be assisting on a homelessness project with the borough based out of a central scheme. The role itself is demanding, with the need to work with clients who are taking up temporary residency within a temporary accommodation scheme along with street homeless persons. The role will require the need to work towards obtaining sustainable and stable housing for all those who are involved in the project.

About you

Prior experience of the role is essential; you must be fully up to date with all housing options legislation as this role does not provide you with any training. You will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills as you will be the first point of contact to tenants and various external agencies including the police, social services and other housing charities. It is essential that you are an extremely organised and reliable individual as you will be required to maintain good record accounting on the organisations database.

Ideally you will have come from a similar role as this post has very limited training opportunities. This role requires someone with a current enhanced CRB/DBS check. If you are interested and would like to find out more, please do get in touch today!
