45 hours per week – salary circa £1,200 per annum plus £1,000 Vehicle Responsibility Allowance. Option to work 40 hours per week if preferred.

Our in house repairs service, HomeFix, provides an essential service to our tenants. We need to recruit a fencer/ground worker to join the team.

To be considered for this role, you need to demonstrate a wealth of experience repairing and replacing domestic fencing as your main trade. You will be used to managing a busy and varied workload including smaller repair jobs and larger fencing replacement/installations where you need to inspect the work required, calculate job times and work out the equipment and materials required.

Ideally you will also have some experience clearing and repairing guttering, repairing and renewing concrete paths and driveways and general brickwork repairs – although this is not essential.

It is essential that you have excellent customer service skills, are competent using IT and are able to consistently follow department processes. You need to work well on your own and as part of a team and be willing to develop your skills to increase your ability to do additional repairs and tasks.

You will be working on our properties located from Brighton to Southampton, with a large proportion of your work being in West Sussex. A HomeFix vehicle will be provided for work use. It is essential you possess a current driving licence and are able to be part of a standby rota for which you will receive additional payment.
