Ground Worker

Salary: £33,600 – £36,000 per year

Description: Are you an experienced Groundworker/Landscaper and a natural leader looking for the next step in your career?
We are looking for a skilled Groundworker/Landscaper who is proactive, experienced and ready to take on the task of running their own small team of Groundworkers/Landscapers, helping and supporting this well-established business to growth.
Location: Crawley
Salary: £33,600 – £36,000
Duties:
· Ensuring all work is carried out safely on site, adhering to all health and safety policies
· Organising the team, setting out the equipment and plan, using the Hard Landscape drawings provided
· Training and guiding staff day to day improving their knowledge on every aspect of Landscaping and Groundwork
· General maintenance of tools/equipment, ensuring they are looked after and stored properly when not in use
· Taking on board client feedback, feeding it to the manager
· Controlling the workload, delegating tasks and supervising your team
· Keeping close contact with the manager to update on progress/any issues
· Ensuring the safe running and keeping of company vehicles and groundwork materials.
· Meeting the highest standard each job set out by the company
· To be responsible for all plant vehicles, hand tools and any machinery
· Running a team of 2/3 Landscape/Groundwork operatives each job
Requirements:
· Experience in Hard and Soft Landscaping as a Landscaper
-Experience as a Groundworker
-Familiar with Brick & Block work, paving and decking
· Any tickets/training certificates are an advantage but not essential
· Excellent time keeping skills
· Experienced in Hard Landscape, Groundwork/Ground Maintenance
· Great attention to detail alongside excellent communication skills
· Experience in using/reading drawings
· Experience using different styles of plant
