Home Based – Senior / Associate Director Landscape Planner

Salary: £54,000 – £66,000 per year

HOME BASED LANDSCAPE PLANNER SENIOR OR ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR LEVEL

We are delighted to announce that we’ve been appointed to work on a unique role with a multi-disciplinary consultancy who specialise in heritage, archaeology, landscape, arboriculture and planning, on a full-time work-from-home basis.

This practice chose to move their whole business to a WFH model long before the pandemic as they realised that staff flexibility and work/life balance is crucial for a successful team environment and growth. With a daily tried and tested support network in place for all staff, they are now able to offer excellent career progression, especially on roles going into senior management.

Their team work on projects at all scales within town, semi-rural and rural contexts, across a variety of sectors that includes residential, historic sites and estates, renewable energy and mixed-use commercial developments.

The main requirement now is for an experienced Landscape Planner at either Senior or Associate Director level to join their close-knit Landscape team. The reason the role and title are flexible is because they want to leave the applications open to anyone with expertise in this area of work and will happily consider taking on someone at Senior grade looking to progress north, or a competent Associate/Associate Director who is comfortable already working at this level currently.

Applicants for this role will work on projects throughout the UK but with the core workload currently coming in from London and the South east, it would be ideal if you were suitably located in these regions.

LANDSCAPE PLANNER REQUIREMENTS

• Chartered Landscape Architect with a minimum 5+ years post qualification
• Good level of consultancy experience in primarily a landscape planning role with an excellent understanding of planning policy and the planning process
• Confidence in undertaking site surveys and LVIA / TVIA assessments
• Excellent report writing skills and ability to provide quality assurance for the team
• Experience of authoring EIA Chapters
• Self-motivated with an organised approach to managing workload
• The ability to work well collaboratively in a team and independently
• Good project management skills
• Experience of preparing landscape strategies landscape masterplans and LI work stages up to planning
• Good level of competence using Adobe Suite (Illustrator/InDesign), basic competence in CAD (Vectorworks / Autocad)
• Good commercial awareness and ability to prepare winning fee proposals
• A full UK driving licence
