Highways Maintenance Site Supervisor (Nights)

A permanent opportunity has arisen with a very busy Highways Term Maintenance contractor for an experienced Highways Maintenance Supervisor to work nights in the London area.

The successful candidate will work 7.30pm – 5.30am, and will be responsible for the supervision of a small team of highways operatives delivering a programme of planned highways maintenance.

Key responsibilities:

To supervise a small team and ensure that all scheduled maintenance and works in line with cyclical program are completed to the standard required and within the timeframe set

To report to Highways Manager giving detailed information on works carried out.

Oversee the ordering of plants and materials

Oversee the ordering and requisitioning of Traffic Management Permits to allow smooth running

To manage directly specific contract ensuring that all scheduled maintenance and works in line with cyclical program are completed to the standard required and within the timeframe set.

To collate information for Health and Safety files or O and M manuals.

To undertake other duties and ad hoc projects as required.

To act in accordance with the company’s health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and practices.

To act in accordance with company policies and procedures, particularly with reference to our Equality and Diversity policies, procedures and practices.
