Salary: £39,600 per year

Job Title: Site Supervisor
Location: Plymouth
Duration: fixed-term contract
Salary: > 33,000 + Van

Purpose of the Role

To provide local technical supervision support to the delivery of SFP and Core works Projects
including the monitoring of work standards, managing and witnessing commissioning and
undertaking, as well as ensuring work is completed on time, to exacting standards.

Key Role Objectives
Be familiar with project plans and critique plans to ensure local circumstances are
considered and incorporated.
Attend pre-start meeting with representatives of the contractor and end client
Work with on Site Liaison Officers to arrange decant programmes as and when
required
To develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with Client personnel
involved directly or indirectly with the contract
To undertake and coordinate in-progress and final inspections, of work carried out by
supply chain operatives. To ensure quality standards, both in terms of workmanship
making sure that compliance with British Standard 8000 are met and materials, are
maintained and recognised suppliers used. If and when remedial action is necessary,
to ensure this is undertaken in close consultation with the Project Manager.
providing regular progress updates on works on site, financial progress and overall
planning adherence in the agreed format
Attend and report to project progress meetings.
Issue snagging lists and ensure completion of identified works to required standards
To review and approve any variations to works orders before additional works
proceed.
Assist in the investigation of any complaints in accordance with the approved
process, and attend meetings with occupants when required.
To undertake H&S inspections on works in progress and prepare risk assessment
and method statements if required.
Control site in a safe and secure manner monitoring supply chain to ensure
compliance with agreed procedures.
Obtain completion certificates, as completed drawings, handbooks, health and safety
documentation upon completion of works.
To advise Planned Maintenance Teams of amendments to asset data following
completion of work to ensure registration of new assets and setting of maintenance
frequencies and tasks

Any other duty commensurate with the position.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications Required
Essential:
Proven track record of site supervision in property refurbishment or social housing.
Familiar with witnessing commissioning
Trades background. 5 years experience
City & Guilds qualification of equivalent
Scaffold Awareness Training
Good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, including the Construction
(Design and Management) Regulations
Knowledge and experience of working within strict ISO 9000 policies and procedures
Good understanding of the key trades and accepted standards of workmanship
Understanding of the need for carrying out commissioning of newly installed assets
Ability to use IMS equipment for basic applications
Full driving licence
Excellent occupant care skills
Desirable:
Experience of operating in a military environment
Experience of managing commissioning
Full and comprehensive understanding of key trades and accepted standards of
workmanship
Previous experience of undertaking Authorised Persons duties, especially electrical
