High Level Teaching Assistant

We are looking for an experienced Learning support assistant that has had previous experience of working with students with severe or moderate levels of ASD. The role will involve working 1:1 with a student with ASD & challenging behaviour.

You will be expected to:
•Have experience with Children with severe learning difficulties.
•Build consistency with your assigned child and a good relationship.
•Liaising with the classroom teacher and other support staff within the classroom on strategies to help within the classroom.
•Able to deal with challenging behaviour.
•Have good management/ communication skills.
•You must have strong literacy and numeracy skills.
•Keep up to date with child progress and behaviour.
•To build child’s confidence and enhance self-esteem.
•Be a good role model to pupils within the classroom.
•Have strong background knowledge of their Special educational needs.
