HGV / LGV / Ce / Class 1 Trunking Night Driver

An opportunity has become available for a Class 1/CE/ HGV driver to work for one of the countries largest Transport companies, based in Sheffield. Trunking work mainly but also road train. Start times between 16:00 and 18:00 with an average of 12-14 hours a day between Monday-Friday. Road Train experience is preferable but not essential as training will be provided.

Client Description

Our client delivers high end furniture on behalf of an International house hold name, out of a brand new distribution centre based in Sheffield. Also if needed we have work in Doncaster and Barnsley to suppliment for correct candidates.

Key Duties

1. Delivering furniture in a controlled way to various sites.
2. Delivering expectations on behalf of a global market leader.
3. Demonstrate a professional attitude towards legal driving procedures and road traffic laws.

Skills Required

You must have held your Class 1 licence for a minimum of 2 years, with 1 years Class 1 driving experience (or 180 days in last 2 years)
You must have a digital tachograph card and understand the working time laws.
Experience with handling furniture in a safe manner useful but not essential.
Excellent Customer service, good manners, and a positive approach to work
Experience in Road Train is preferred but not essential.

Nights normally start between 16:00-18:00. The length of the shifts do vary slightly, these are dependant on the work provided each day but are usually between 12-14 hours

The site requires a site and induction and manual handling training before work can commence.
