Job Purpose:

Accurate and efficient delivery of customers’ ordersKey Tasks/Responsibilities:

Ensure that all vehicles driven comply with traffic regulations currently in force
Adhere to current regulations regarding the number of hours worked and the use of tachographs
Accurate and safe delivery of customers’ orders in accordance with delivery schedules
Obtain authorisation to return goods and the accurate checking/collection of goods to be returned
Accurate completion and return of all company legal documentation
Establish a friendly and courteous relationship with customers, dealing efficiently with queries, wants and needsOn occasions the post holder will be required to work away from the designated work place which may involve staying away from home as and when required in accordance with the needs of the business. The post holder will be responsible for the appropriate use and maintenance of the company vehicle.

Person Specification:

Essential: Appropriate vehicle and equipment operator licences

Numerate and literate

Demonstrable experience in operation of vehicle/equipment (as appropriate)

Desirable: Warehousing and distribution experience
