Salary: £26,000 per year

Babcock is one of the UK’s largest training providers offering government funded Apprenticeships and providing work-based learning in the Health & Social Care industry.

We are looking to expand our Work-Based Learning team and are seeking for a suitable candidate who is looking to become a Health & Social Care Trainer/Assessor and join our team, ideal candidate location would be in Dorchester, Weymouth, Poole and the surrounding areas to be able to cover the Dorset area.

The position is a full-time, permanent role of 35 hours per week. The role is field based and would consist of travelling to various care establishments in the Dorset area in order to assess and coach learners through their Health & Social Care qualifications. You’ll therefore need to live somewhere easily accessible to this region and be prepared to travel within it using your own car.

You will be required to take a caseload of approximately 45 learners where you will have regular meetings to support them through the qualification process. This will involve regular visits to the learners’ place of employment as well as remote support.

For this vacancy we are looking for strong Health & Social Care professionals who specifically have solid experience within the Adult Care Industry. In order to deliver our Health & Social Care Qualifications, you must hold at least a Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent as a minimum and GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent as well as have strong experience at supervisory/management level. All Adult Care professionals (with hands on experience) would make ideal candidates, including those that have experience of work based learning.

This exciting position will allow you to draw on your experience of the Adult Care/Social Care industry to provide learners in their workplaces with support and training, enabling them to realise their career potential.

A DBS (formerly CRB) check prior to commencement of role will be required.

A starting salary of £26,000(rising to £20,910 after probationary period)
