Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year
Our client is a leading UK Utility Company with an excellent reputation in the industry. Due to growth within the business they have an immediate requirement for a Health & Safety Advisor.
Key Essentials:
* As a Health & Safety Advisor you will be required to provide competent advice and guidance on Health and Safety issues on site to Operatives and Supervisors on Power Projects including Overhead lines
* Your role will involve overseeing Health & Safety on CDM Projects in the Power division to meet the contract and business needs and objectives
* You will be required to undertake regular site inspections, safety audits and conduct toolbox talks
* Your role will involve assisting in the investigation of strikes / incidents and providing advice on the root cause of these incidents
* As a Health & Safety Advisor you will be required to provide all accident reports and inspections or audit findings in a timely manner and report to the Health & Safety Manager
* You will be required to ensure that resources are available to Operatives and Supervisors including appropriate documentation (i.e. safe dig drawings) and training
* You will be expected to identify methods for continually improving the performance of the Division
Requirements:
* As Health & Safety Advisor you should be qualified with NEBOSH as a minimum and hold NRSWA Supervisor accreditation
* You should have a minimum of 2 years previous experience working as a Health & Safety Advisor in the Power industry including Overhead lines
* You should be an excellent communicator with meticulous attention to detail
* Due to project locations; this role will require frequently staying away from home during the week in subsidised accommodation
* This is an excellent position that offers up to £42,000 – £48,000 + Package
