Health Care Assistant / Support Worker – Horley / Adults with Learning Disabilities

We have an excellent opportunity for Support Workers to join a residential home to work with adults with learning disabilities. Your role will be to maximise the potential capacity of all residents, physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially.

Main Duties

• To respect the dignity and individuality of each resident and provide the residents with choices
• To support in ensuring high standards of care and support are maintained
• To work as part of a staff team in a constructive and supportive manner
• To ensure the safety of the residents at all times, reporting promptly any concerns
• To be aware of the emotional needs and aspirations of each resident and provide opportunities for appropriate emotional expression.
• To initiate and support individuals to be involved in educational, occupational, recreational activities
• To assist residents in maintaining good contact with family and friends

Requirements

• Able to pass DBS check
• Excellent Verbal and Written skills.
• Flexible attitude towards working hours
• Right to work in the UK

Salary & Benefits

• Full training provided, no experience required
• Full time positions of 36-48 hours a week (shift work as part of a rota)
• Salary: of £26,000per year
