Job Role: Health and Social Care Assessor (Trainee OR Qualified)

Location: Newcastle-Under-Lyme

Salary:
Trainee starts at: £17,000
Qualified: £18,000 – £22,000

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a private Training Provider, looking to appoint a Trainee or Qualified Health and Social Care Assessor based in Newcastle-Under-Lyme.

On this occasion we are able to consider complete Trainee applicants, who hold Management competency within the Elderly / Adult Care environment, along with a Level 3 Care NVQ. Trainee candidates will receive full training and support to gain the Assessor award.

Duties include:

– The successful candidate will be home based and be responsible for the training, assessment and support of a caseload of learners undertaking Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care, and to ensure the timely and accurate completions in line with company procedures and timescales.
– Delivering full Apprenticeship frameworks including Functional Skills (Maths / English), Tech Cert, ERR & PLTS
– Visiting/observing learners in their place of work to gather evidence towards their Apprenticeship/QCF qualifications in Health and Social Care
– Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted
– Organise and maintain documentation on learners’ progress
– Support, advise and motivate learners
– Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner`s needs

Essential Criteria:

– Must hold a minimum of 5 years Care competence with at least 3 years at Management level
– Must hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care
– Driver with own vehicle – flexible with travel
– The ability to prioritise workload and plan time effectively
– Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels
