Merchandiser/Space Planner

Reports to: Merchandiser

Salary: £30,000 – £36,000dependent on experience

Reporting to the Merchandiser, the Branch Merchandiser will take full responsibility for ensuring the full potentiality for their brands within our stores.

Main Duties

Work with product merchandising team in planning space, sales and densities for stores

Review seasonal grading and analyse sales at branch level to deliver the optimum range and replenishment to stores

Ensure correct stock packages are available to individual stores

Review store profiles to identify opportunities

Grading and re-grading stores to potentialise sales performance

Work closely with retail management to build strong relationships

Must be highly analytical and have good Excel skills

Experience & skills required;

Must be highly numerate and analytical

Background in retail, understands store processes and layouts

Educated to a good level with relevant work experience

Proactive approach, able to work on own initiative

Strong communication skills

Good team player, able to forge strong working relationships with colleagues

Good attention to detail, organised and able to prioritise

PC literate, including MS Excel and Word

Notes

During particular periods, during sale and Christmas for example, the merchandising department is extremely busy. Applicants should be aware that additional hours may be required during busy periods and flexibility in this respect is a necessity for the position.
