Location: Torquay in Devon
Salary: £17.4per hour
Hours: Full time
Shifts: Days

Head of Unit-Dementia
To manage staff within the unit, and report directly to the Home Manager in a well run and well managed Nursing home in Torquay
Must have a good background and be confident in working with residents who have dementia
Train and educate staff to the highest standards
Normal registered nurse duties
Overall well-being each of the residents
Supervising and training of team members
Maintain communication with all resident support services and families Administering and documenting medication to residents within Assisted Living Pre-admission assessments
Maintain quality assurance and regulatory compliance whilst delivering services
Become knowledgeable in policies, procedures and CQC compliance
Order and monitor medications for residents within Assisted Living
Where necessary refer residents and liaise with external Health Care Professionals

Necessary Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RGN/ RMN/RNLD)
Complete Nursing Qualification
Up to date registration with NMC

Desirable Skills
Possess good judgement, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Good organisational and time management skills
Able to work flexible hours
Possess effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to supervise and teach others
Basic IT skills
