Our client is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of products from carbon.

They are currently recruiting for the position Head of Supply Chain Management, based in Muir of Ord.

Job Description

* Responsible for production planning for the plant based on order book and quarterly sales forecasts with the aim of serving all open orders in time and quality while optimizing production capacity and cost.
* Ensures the site supply with raw materials by respective planning of Key Materials, by managing the suppliers and by defining and reviewing minimum stock levels for Key Materials and critical spares.
* Oversees local purchasing and manages the interface to Group Purchasing.
* Responsible for negotiating all key raw material supply (excluding Precursor) and logistics contracts, and for appointing preferred suppliers and vendor rating.
* Responsible for warehousing and logistics, ensuring efficient logistics while taking into account customers requirements and instructions as to location, mode, and time of arrival of goods.
* Establishes efficient processes for warehousing, logistics, purchasing and production planning.
* Supports Global Supply Chain Management of BU CFM with focus on CF by (re-)designing and optimizing new and existing supply chains.
* Responsible for staff recruitment, training and development within the area of responsibility.

Skills & Experience

* Degree qualified with moderate years inter-disciplinary experience (production, sales and purchasing.
* ERP system Knowledge is essential with a preference for SAP software.
* Knowledge of internal procedures (ISO, TQM, sales and purchasing procedures), experience with Internal Control Systems (ICS) and / or familiarity with internal/external/quality audits

Deep knowledge of:

* Products/processes/raw materials
* Cost accounting
* Purchasing
* Shipping and logistics(laws, regulations, means of transport, Incoterms, packing etc

This is a permanent position.

The salary for this position is negotiable.
