Head of Property Management

Our clients are a growing, independent estate agency based in South East London. They are looking to recruit an experienced Head of Property Management who will be managing a small team (including a full time administrator) with a portfolio of several hundred flats. This is a role with a lot of opportunities as our client anticipate growing the properties under management every year for the next 5 years and the team will expand alongside this.

As well as managing the team and the departments’ work, the chosen Head of Property Management will have a personal portfolio of properties to manage.

Requirements:
*Organised – able to balance a heavy work load
*Genuine love of order and detail
*Ability to manage and monitor staff whilst managing a portfolio
*Great customer service attitude
*Good understanding of plumbing, electrical, boiler, handyman etc. issues
*Strength of character
*Experience managing a portfolio
*Minimum 2 years people management experience
The Role:
*Manage and motivate staff
*Co-ordinate the departments’ work on a weekly and daily basis
*Bring on new contractors
*Manage contractor relationships
*Manage own property portfolio: – including referencing, moves ins, jobs, updating landlords, property inspections etc
*Ensuring Property Management software systems kept up to date
*Ensuring landlords’ and tenants’ are kept informed
*Ensuring all regulatory requirements (Gas Safety Certificates, Deposit registrations etc.) are met
*The first port of call for serious tenant/property management issues
*Dealing with complaints

You will report in to the Director.
Job Offer
-5 days a week (including some Saturdays and thus 1 day off during the week)
-24 days holiday a year (plus bank holidays)
-£35,000 – £40,000 depending on experience
