Head of Marketing

Our client is a well established and successful tourism agency now seeking an experienced and Head of Marketing to join its vibrant and busy team in their state of the art offices. This exciting marketing role entails a wide range of tasks in which no day will be the same, this includes:

• Manage marketing activities to generate the best results against specific objectives and within clearly defined budget parameters.

• Producing and developing a marketing plan

• Remain highly aware of multiple clients using the same partners (Tour Operators or media partners) ensuring that the spend is maximized with buying power with those partners.

• Drive the media planning and buying through our clients media agency to maximize commission

• Take a lead in managing the Group brands, determining a strategy with the MD for their positioning, interaction and physical presentation through respective websites and social media channels.

• Operating as part of a small team, there may be a need to help colleagues occasionally at events.

• Effectively and efficiently manage budgets, producing marketing plans, activities and reports that meet client objectives.

To be the cut above the rest:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Marketing Manager role within the UK travel industry.
• Joint marketing campaign experience is a must for this role
• Educated to degree level.
• Experience of working on joint marketing campaigns within a tour operator / supplier relationship.
• Experience of managing or working with media agencies.
• A good understanding of the UK travel trade media.
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
• Exceptional communication skills, internally and externally.
