Hardware Firmware Engineer

HARDWARE/FIRMWARE ENGINEER – STAFFORDSHIRE – 6 MONTH CONTRACT

Role Description:
Experienced hardware electronics/firmware electronics engineer required to design interfaces and write Verilog firmware to enable communications between bespoke equipment. The project involves completion of design, detail circuit and PCB design, prototype build and evaluation testing prior to manufacture.

Essential Requirements:

– Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics of Physics.
– Minimum of 3 years hands on experience in all aspects of hardware and firmware design.
– Evidence of designing hardware using Altera, XiLinx, Actel Devices.
– Knowledge of Verilog.
– Good team player with initiative.

It is expected that applicants have a proven record in all aspects of hardware and firmware design with several years “hands on” experience and the ability to work quickly and efficiently within a multi-skilled engineering team. The successful applicant will work under the guidance of an experienced engineer with overall responsibility for the electronics package associated with the project.

This role is commutable from Staffordshire, Derby, Derbyshire, Telford, Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Burton, Stoke-On-Trent etc
