Group Service Manager

Salary: £60,000 – £72,000 per year

Leading manufacturer and distributor of special purpose vehicles is seeking a Group Service Manager to lead the servicing team across the depots and ensure the most efficient and profitable outcomes for the group. The Group Service Manager will be well versed in a commercial vehicle setting.

Salary: £60,000 – £72,000 p.a. + Car + Bonus + Pension + Benefits

The Role

The Group Service Manager will possess heavy commercial vehicle servicing experience and be able to manage teams across the depot operations including engineers and office teams. The Group Service Manager will work to clearly defined KPIs on business profitability and organise the service department effectively to achieve this. You will plan and implement the strategy for Technicians, Apprentices and Workshop teams alongside the respective Depot Managers and warranty/support staff members.
You will ensure the service departments produce outstanding work, on-time and ensuring complete customer satisfaction. You will ensure the accurate tracking and logging work and use and track data on depot performance to achieve the highest levels of profitability. The Group Service Manager will play an active role in developing excellent customer relationships and manage the operation within the agreed budgets.

The Person

The Group Service Manager will possess a proven background in the management of servicing and workshop activity in a heavy commercial vehicle environment. You will be flexible to work across the four outer London based service depots and possess an excellent technical understanding of automotive serving and maintenance in addition to a clear understanding how to run service centres effectively to achieve good profits.
The Group Service Manager will possess excellent leadership skills and a positive, customer-facing approach to service excellence. Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate performance management, coaching and leadership of a servicing team and the related support functions.
