An extremely rare opportunity for an experienced Purchase Ledger Manager to join a national organisation during a critical point in their expansion to dominate their market. In this focused role, you will be reporting to the Group Accountant; maintaining all aspects of their Purchase Ledger. I am searching for an extraordinary Purchase Ledger Manager who wants to make this department their own, to become a progressive and strong purchase ledger function.

Key responsibilities:
Structure, motivate, plan & target a team of Purchase Ledger Clerks day to day duties
Weekly supplier payment runs
Staff training and appraisals
Thorough working knowledge of purchase to pay process
Constant communication, monitoring & reconciling of top suppliers
Reporting on supplier payment trends and other ad-hoc reporting
Ensure secure capture of new supplier details
Be the “go to person” for all purchase order queries
Daily processing and checking of all supplier invoices received before coding and entering of all invoices
Dealing with supplier queries
Collating / entering monthly staff expense claims for reimbursement
Liaising with the PAs to distribute, collate and analyse the monthly statements
Preparing and executing month end processes; including reconciling creditor and debtor accounts

The successful candidate will have:

Good accounting background with strong numerical skills and high degree of accuracy
Attention to detail is essential
Extensive month end accounting experience
of running a high volume purchase ledger function
Self-starter
Experience of delivering improvements in a purchase ledger function
Extensive ERP System knowledge
Ability to liaise with Senior Stakeholders across the business.
Experience of working for an organisation that holds high levels of stock and materials
