Salary: £60,000 – £72,000

The Group Accountant will work closely with the finance team to contribute to the financial reporting of the Group, as they go through rapid growth within their businesses. You will play a key role in projects, supporting the production and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting as well as supporting teams across their international locations.

The successful candidate will also be proactive and motivated to drive projects, implement change and streamline Group processes.

Role Responsibilities include:

• Prepare full year and interim consolidated accounts according to IFRS for the Group
• Preparation and review of statutory accounts for key subsidiaries
• Integrate and standardise processes, and review finance submissions for projects across the businesses
• Support senior management with completion of monthly management reporting, annual budget cycle, procurement to pay systems and digital invoice capture.
• Work with, and be a key contact for, the external auditors, providing required deliverables and supporting a smooth audit process
• Play a key role in the improvement of Group internal controls and reporting processes.
• Support local accounting teams with technical accounting matters
• Manage and review payrolls, payment runs, VAT returns and pension payments

Qualifications and desired background:

• Be a Qualified Accountant, such as ACA/ACCA (or similar)
• Have up to date knowledge of relevant IFRS
• Knowledge of the energy industry
• Exposure to large capex projects would be beneficial
• Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Ability to work independently, managing workloads and as a part of team
