The Role

A very exciting opportunity has arisen for a civil engineering graduate (with a geotechnical bias) to join a 3 year graduate scheme in summer 2016. The role would be a fixed term position with the potential of a permanent role upon completion of the programme.

The successful candidate will have a dedicated mentor who will likely be a Senior Manager of the Company. During the programme you will experience a structured training programme at various locations across the UK, these will consist of:

* 6 months in Central Support Piling Design
* 6 months in Central Support Foundation Design
* 6 months in Mini Piling & Underpinning Contracts
* 5 months in House Foundations Contracts
* 5 months in Ground Improvement Contracts
* 4 months completing Site Investigations
* 2 months in Contracts & Commercial
* 1 month in Production
* And 1 month in Plant Operations/Design/Maintenance

In addition you will receive support towards professional membership of a relevant professional body i.e. Institution of Structural Engineers.

The successful candidate will either be base in Burton or Dartford; however will be expected to travel to different parts of the country throughout the scheme.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

* Have either graduated or be in their final year of a civil engineering degree/masters (with geotechnical bias) and have a strong desire in pursuing a career within a foundation engineering company;
* Be extremely hard working and conscientious and have a strong mathematical acumen;
* Have a flexible approach to work as you will be covering a number of different disciplines and working at most of the company’s locations during the 3 year period.

In return my client is offering:

* £27,000 per annum;
* Company car and fuel card will be provided as the role develops;
* 25 days holiday per annum, plus statutory holidays and Christmas shutdown.
