Graduate Environmental Consultant

My client, a UK based Environmental and Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Flood Risk and Hydrology, is searching for a Graduate Environmental Consultant to join their team based in Oxford.

It is essential that applicants have a strong A Level in Mathematics and a BSc or MSc in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Environmental Geoscience, Environmental Management, or Hydrology.

Applicants are required to have advanced numerical skills in order to complete calculations and have a keen interest of Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Hydraulic Modelling, Water Resources, Water Quality and Flood Risk.

Applicants are also required to have a valid driving license and knowledge of GIS packages including Map Info and ArcGIS.

It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally and have experience working within a Consultancy setting.

Typically the role will involve the following;

-Flood Risk and Environmental Projects.
-Flood Risk Assessments.
-Water Quality Assessments.
-Hydrological Assessments.
-Surface Water and Catchment Management Plans.
-Flood Risk Maps using ArcGIS.
-Flood Risk and Hydrological Modelling using FEH, ISIS and Hec-Ras.
-Hydrological and Hydraulic analysis of sites.
-Topographic Surveys.
-Environmental Impact Assessments.
-Frequent liaison with Senior Engineers, Private Sector Clients and Local Authorities.
