We are working with a well-known engineering company based in Sunderland, looking to expand their team with the addition of a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer.

Are you a Newly Qualified Electrical Engineer looking to start your career? Do you have a BEng or MEng in Engineering, Gap Year experience or relevant post graduate experience?

Role Specification:

In this role you will have the opportunity to develop your career in the follow skillsets –

• To be an operational member of the electrical design team to ensure systems are delivered on time and to specification.

• Electrical concept system design including drafting diagrams

• Produce P&ID drawings and bill of materials for each design using AutoCAD & EPlan.

• Create schematics that show how electrical components and panels working together to accomplish a process

• Examine existing drawings and double-check them for reliability and manufacturability.

• Prepare documentation for the system’s intended use as well as any safety related instructions.

• Look to standardize design

• Produce detail drawings and general circuit drawings

• Familiarization with planning tools (E-Plan or equivalent)

Professional Requirements

Minimum requirements –

· BEng (Electrical engineering)

Desirable

· Relevant experience within a placement in the industry or Postgraduate

· Experience using Inventor and EPlan

This role is based on site Monday to Friday, candidates must be able to access the office
