Graduate / Assistant Surveyor

Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per year

The responsibilities within this role include:

• Gathering information and research to prepare tender documents
• Drawing up tender lists including managing pre-qualifying process
• Cost management of projects including change control
• Taking meeting minutes and training to chair meetings
• Carrying out feasibility studies
• Learning how to use CostX measurement and Cost Plan Production software to produce cost plans, bills of quantities and cost estimations
• Recording and managing tender queries
• Preparing financial reports
• Preparing contract documents
• Carrying out interim valuations and valuing and negotiating variations
• Preparing final accounts
• General administrative support including arithmetic checks, proof reading and filing

The ideal candidate for this role will have a degree in a Surveying-related degree, with a couple of years’ experience in a similar commercial role. You should have excellent problem-solving and communication skills, as well as a strong eye for detail.
