Governance and Standards Manager

Salary: £22.13 per hour

Overview:

Insight Executive Group is delighted to have partnered with The Seven Forces Procurement Team to run a recruitment campaign for several roles, including this rewarding Governance and Standards Manager role.

Seven Forces offer a highly flexible approach to work, and all applicants are offered the opportunity to chose from seven locations to work from across the East of England; including Norfolk, Essex, Bedfordshire, Kent, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Hertfordshire.

About the role:

This role will provide you with the opportunity to manage an interesting and diverse workload while operating with stakeholders across the region. You will be fully supported in your role with professional development, and you will have the ability to work flexibly by selecting the location within the region that suits you best.

You will be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding and experience of public sector procurement and the ability to the design, develop and implement procurement policies and processes to be used within the wider team. Your expertise will ensure that the wider team are compliant with the Procurement Strategy, Force Policies, Financial Regulations, UK legislation and EU regulations.

You should have experience of administering procurement systems (e-tendering, contract registers, spend analysis tools) and providing management information. The Governance and Standards team are also responsible for administering the Strategic Procurement Governance Board and therefore experience of managing the activities necessary to keep such boards running is key. You will also be required to design and deliver training to improve technical expertise within the function.
