Salary: £420 – £540 per day
Web Developer (JavaScript, Java, HTML5, Node JS, Cucumber/Selenium)
The Opportunity: A contract Web Developer is required for an immediate project based in Glasgow that will run for an initial six months paying £420 – £540 per day.
Skills and Experience:
• JavaScript, Java, HTML5, Node JS, CSS2/3, JQuery/Ajax and JSPs
• Open-source platforms and languages (including Java and Python development languages), and open standards (including open-standards based REST web services)
• Familiar in server and client side frameworks like Dojo, JQuery/AngularJS
• Experience with automated test frameworks (including Unit and end-to-end testing) and continuous integration based development (including Jenkins, Ansible, RPM, Artifactory)
• Automated agile, build and test tools and frameworks (including Gradle, Maven, JIRA, JBehave, Cucumber, Selenium)
• Proven experience in developing secure and accessible (WCAG AA) web front-ends
Role and Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain Selenium tests in Java for acceptance testing UI in Amazon Web Services (AWS) supporting continuous integration environments
• Follow scrum agile development process, Git for version control, Jenkins used for Continuous Integration along with Jira and Confluence for user story and backlog management
• A primary point of contact between UX/UI teams and developers at all times
