The Position:
Due to continued growth our client is looking for a GIS Mapping Support Manager to join their expanding team on the outskirts of Edinburgh. This is a key role which provides GIS Mapping support to staff and provides and effective ICT resource for the Technical Department. This role may also be suitable for a Graduate in a relevant discipline.

Responsibilities:
* You will be responsible for supporting the users of corporate GIS by creating and updating Maps and data management.
* Training and supporting staff who use GIS and managing the GIS data deployment and infrastructure.
* You will be required to maintain the integrity (topology and data validity) and completeness of the GIS database.
* You will be expected to deliver outputs within agreed budgets and timeframes.
Requirements:
* Experience working in a similar role, using GIS and related software applications.
* A strong understanding of GIS principles, with experience in QGIS and ideally PostgreSQL/PostGIS applications.
* Knowledge of Database deisgn, SQL data management and analysis (desirable).
* Excellent ICT competency.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Current UK Driving Licence (preferred)
* An understanding of Forest Management (desirable)

This role is based in Head Office which is located on the outskirts of Edinburgh.
