General Operator / Various Positions

PURPOSE OF JOB:
Under the direction of the lead person the General Operative is responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced. The successful candidate will work within a team to provide excellent service to customers and to ensure Ecoplas processes are followed.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• To work within a PVC production unit
• Must be able to lead and unload raw materials
• Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance
• Personal responsibility for following Safety rules, SOPs and cGMP guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned

DIMENSIONS / SCOPE OF JOB:
Responsible for:
• Safety of self, maintenance colleagues and production operatives.
• Safe and efficient operation and maintenance of plant and machinery.
Authority limits:
• Authorised to prohibit use of plant and machinery if unsafe.
• Working within agreed authority levels and controls to ensure maintenance spend on repairs and renewals are within budget.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
Key performance indicators:
• Accidents, near-miss, incidents and any other and safety measures.
• Machine downtime and efficiencies.
• Maintenance costs & budget.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES:
• Minimum GCSE Maths and English Grade C or equivalent
• Must be able to multi task and follow up when responses are needed
• Multi-skilled training and experience with heavy industrial machinery would be an advantage.
• Must be able to work well in pressured environments
• Must be good problem solver and be able to work to deadlines
• Ideally have FLT Licence and maintain certification to retain position
• Desirable but not essential, experience in a PVC/ Extrusion Industry
• An enthusiastic team player with a flexible attitude and approach to work.
• Able to work unsupervised and on own initiative.
• Good communication and be able to respond to verbal and written instructions in writing.
• Organisation skills, computer capable/literate.
• Accepting personal responsibility with positive can-do attitude.
