General Operative (Sheet Metal) – Haverhill

Permanent – c£26,000 per year depending on experience

Our highly successful client is looking to expand their metal shop team, working manual and power tools. They pride themselves on customer quality and service and the products that they produce reflect this. It’s a good opportunity to learn a trade and develop your skills. You must be able to produce a consistent level of quality. Training will be given on all machinery, offering opportunities to widen your skillsets. They are very busy with plenty of opportunities for overtime and skills development. Could be a school leaver looking to start a career (Salary will reflect experience)

General duties will include:

• Deburring metal parts,
• Breaking punched parts from sheet
• Loading and unloading items for the paint plant
• Adhere to Health & Safety
• Pay attention to good housekeeping and good safe working practices

Skills and Attributes:

• Basic experience working in a metal shop
• A good understanding of good/safe working practices is vital.
• Experience in a production/factory environment
• Right work ethic
• Able to work as part of a team
• Willingness to learn
