Recruit 2 You are currently recruiting for a General Manager on behalf of our fast-growing client based in Derbyshire. Our client aims to provide its customers with a one stop logistic solution; they are looking for a General manager to join their unique and customer focused business.
Your responsibilities as General Manager
* Oversee day to day operations. You will also recruit and train high performing employees to achieve sales, market share, and business plan objectives.
* Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplishes on time.
* Recruit and onboard
* Develop strategic operating plans that reflect the longer-term objectives.
* Provide KPI reports to the senior board members on a timely basis.
* Represent the company to major customers and professional associations.
* Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships.
You as the new General Manager will demonstrate the following:
* A passionate and driven approach to the company leadership.
* Proven experience within a managerial role
* Strong decision-making capabilities
* The ability to motivate and lead people.
* You must have sound working knowledge of both warehouse and transport operations.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety management processes.
* Working knowledge of human resource processes.
* Flexibility to meet the demands of the business.
