General Cover Teacher

Salary: £26,000 – £31,200 per year

We are looking for a General Cover Teacher for a Secondary School in Enfield. The school is extremely well connected, with nearby Overground and Thameslink stations. As a Cover Teacher, you will have the freedom and flexibility to work when you want, rather than committing to work at the school every day. Supply roles are a phenomenal way to integrate oneself into a school, find out if they like the environment, and develop opportunities to work more closely (and potentially on a more permanent basis) with the school in future.

The role will involve working in various classrooms, so adaptability is key. If you live within an hour’s travel of Enfield, the call may sometimes come last minute, so we are looking for someone available to work either full or part time with very short notice – sometimes even as little as three hours.

As mentioned above, adaptability is of huge importance. The perfect candidate will be able to rapidly assess many situations and present to a class in a way that will result in a fulfilling and educational lesson – but with very short notice. Good behaviour management skills are also recommended for the role. Alongside this, we are looking for someone who will be punctual, show initiative, and have the confidence (and, if possible, academic experience) to engage with a classroom in their own style.
