General Aftersales Manager
Job Description
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a General Aftersales Manager to join our join our Commercial Vehicle team in Poole. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £55,000 with OTE of up to £75,000.
This exciting opportunity will require someone who is dynamic, motivated and able to manage all aspects of the aftersales department, The successful candidate will have previous
experience in the motor trade in a role of this kind and possess exceptional leadership skills.
Responsibilities as ourGeneral Aftersales Manager will include:
- Carrying out regular reviews of pricing policies, labour rates, discounts and parts pricing
- Monitoring workshop productivity and the effective use of labour
- Examining management accounts and composite figures
- Ensuring all stocks and services purchased for resale are monitored and sold at a profit
- Maintaining stock levels, monitor the parts inventory and anticipate future parts needs
- Measuring true stock turn and keep obsolete stock to a minimum
- Handling dissatisfied customers calmly, resolve complaints with sensitivity, and involve others when needed
- Ensuring the aftersales department is adequately staffed in order to achieve departmental objectives and provide a prompt and efficient service to customers
- Ensuring staff maintain up-to-date knowledge, improve technical skills and achieve a high level of workmanship
- Operating within the law, ensuring all health and safety legislation and internal procedures are followed
- Ensuring the correct recycling of all disposed and damaged items in line with environmental regulations
What we’re looking for in our General Aftersales Manager:
- Main dealer experience or experience of such.
- Personable approach, with a polite and courteous manner.
- Self-motivated
- Computer literate
- A strong communicator and able to lead by example.
- Possess exceptional leadership skills.
- Able to adhere to tight deadlines being made
- Manage and motivate the team to deliver high performance
