Gas Manager – Comah Lpg Gas Storage & Distribution

Gas Ltd are the sole distributors and suppliers of LPG to both private & business customers on Isle of Guernsey.

The Role

An opportunity exists for a Customer & Gas Network Services (C&NS) Officer for our LPG Gas storage facility (600 tonnes LPG) & LPG distribution/delivery teams.

This involves managing the storage & distribution of LPG Gas via a network of gas cylinders, mini bulk, community sites & the management of delivery vehicles, along with the bulk storage facilities.

You will

* Supervise/manage the LPG distribution network (the delivery of LPG Gas cylinders, bulk & delivery), including COMAH Gas storage facilities
* Manage the safe, quality, on-time and efficient resolution of emergency works
* Produce management information to ensure delivery of objectives
* Ensure compliance to specific legislation
* Ensure a continuous gas supply
* Participate in the emergency stand-by 1-in-4 rotaThe ideal candidate will have:

* Ideally membership of a relevant professional body (IGEM, IMECHE, ICE) – Though not essential
* Previous management/supervisory experience in the Gas/LPG industry (National Grid, Calor, BOC, etc)
* A knowledge of the operation and maintenance of gas plant and equipment
* Extensive technical and operational knowledge relevant to Natural Gas and LPG
