Functional Skills Tutor – West London

Working as a part of this training provider’s team you will deliver additional support in English and Maths for learners from Entry Level 2 to Level 2

This is a home based role, visiting learners across West London.

This vocational qualification provider has been awarded numerous contracts by the Skills Funding Agency and this means that the majority of their one-to-one courses are supported by government funding.

Essential Experience & Skills:

• PTLLS Award (or equivalent)
• Strong background in Maths / English and Functional Skills delivery.
• Proven track record of supporting learners with their Skills.
• English and Maths GCSE grade C or above or equivalent
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Good time management and administrative skills
• Willing to travel for work purposes and access to a car for work

Job Purpose:

• Planning training and assessments with the learners and employers
• Coaching and guiding the learner through their qualification / functional skills
• Assessing the learner and ensuring their evidence meets national standards
• Providing continual feedback and support to learners.

The salary package includes a generous completion bonus scheme, a Laptop, Mobile phone, Dongle and Tablet, mileage rate at 35p per mile, RAC breakdown cover, 22 days of holiday (27 days on completing two calendar years), plus 1 day Birthday leave.
