What you can expect from the job of Functional Skills Tutor:

As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will work autonomously in a field based role, working alongside learners who are embarking on Apprenticeships in a wide variety of industry sectors.

You will deliver Functional Skills from entry level up to Level 2, both on a one-to-one and group basis.

You will be responsible for the effective delivery of Maths, English and ICT to achieve maximum pass rates.

As a trainer you will be responsible for creating your own lesson plans and schemes of work.

As a Functional Skills Tutor you will receive a basic salary of £30,000. Other benefits allocated to the Functional Skills Tutor role are: 22 days holiday (+Bank Holidays) rising to 27 days holiday after 2 years, Pension Scheme, Laptop, Mobile Phone and Business Mileage.

This is a home based role and will involve visiting Apprenticeship Learners in the workplace.

Functional Skills Tutor – Our Requirements

-Possession of Teaching Qualification (PTTLS or higher)
– Level 2 or above in both Maths and English
– Recent experience of classroom based Functional Skills delivery
– Experience of working in a Field Based Trainer/Tutor Role
– Full UK Driving Licence and Own Vehicle
– Flexible attitude to travel
