Salary: £48,000 – £60,000 per year

Avanti Recruitment is currently working with a very exciting company who specialise in IOT software and are making a mark in the offshore renewable energy sector. If you are interested in marine technology, science, the environment or cutting-edge technology then there will be something here for you.

The team operate a hybrid working model so you will need to come to the office twice a week, at least during your probation period, but this won’t really suit a homeworker anyway. Free parking, nice renovated offices, plenty of exciting R+D / prototypes for a product release in 2022 so the code you are writing now will literally be getting released almost straight away.

We are looking for React experience on the front end, if not commercial then your own projects. Strong JavaScript and front-end experience is important. C++ experience is an advantage and preferred, but if you don’t have experience in C++ but at least aren’t opposed to working with it and in a C++ environment then that is fine.

The role involves taking the lead on Web UI Development in an embedded environment. Since the company’s products measure real world properties, an interest in the acquisition of data from the physical world and the manipulation of that data is desirable.

This role will suit a passionate developer who enjoys the challenge of:

• Designing and implementing attractive and intuitive Web-based user interfaces
• Developing backend services to action front-end requests
• Understanding a full stack, from a Web UI front end down to bare metal
• Communicating work and ideas / improvements to other group members
• Participating in the design and implementation of new features across a range of products

The company offer a very good pension contribution (5% – 10%+ depending on age), 25 days holiday with the option to buy an additional week and flexible working.
