Forensic Medical Examiner – Soe

Medacs Healthcare is the leading provider of Forensic Medical Services across the UK. To support our contract we are seeking to recruit / retain on a Self-Employed contract experienced Doctors/GPs to work in Police Custody Suites across the UK.

Successful applicants will be expected to work as part of a team, participating in a 24-hour on-call rota, principally to provide primary care in a custody environment, conducting forensic medical examinations of detainees and victims of crime, including sexual offences. Attendance at scene of sudden and suspicious deaths will also be required, in addition to preparing statements for legal proceedings.

Essential requirements
* A Doctor/GP with FME experience (with evidence of continual training)
* A Doctor/GP with -2 years Primary Care, NHS speciality training post qualification, i.e. Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry, Paediatric Experience, Obstetrics & Gynaecology (if applying for SARC)
* Completed the Life Support training
* Full GMC registration – have no restriction on a work setting
* Resident in the UK for at least 3 years
* Full right to work in the UK
* A full driving licence is essential
* Exceptional grasp of the English Language both written and spoken
