FLT Drivers and Crane Operators

We are currently recruiting for experienced Warehouse Operatives with current Fork Truck Licences and Overhead Crane operating experience for ongoing positions in a heavy industry Steelworks facility in Cardiff.

Responsibilities of the Forklift Truck Drivers and Overhead Crane Operators:

* Materials movement using large Counter Balance forklift truck and other vehicles on site.
* Working in a busy steel production and warehouse facility.
* Loading and unloading wagons.
* Banking loads safely.
* Operating overhand gantry cranes.
* Manual handling.
* Stock control.
* Health and Safety awareness.

Skills and experiences of the FLT Drivers/Overhead Crane Operators:

* CURRENT VALID RTITB / ITSSAR / CITB FLT LICENCE for unlimited load or 15 tonne+ ideally.
* Forklift Truck and Overhead Gantry Cranes experience.
* Experience of working in a heavy industry environment.
* Experience of being a Banksman (with current ticket) beneficial.
* A full UK Driver’s licence and transport is desirable.
* Health and Safety conscious attitude essential.
* Flexible attitude to working hours / shifts essential.

The successful applicant will be subject to a pre-employment substance abuse examination.

The shift patterns can vary but may include 12 hour days and nights 6-6 including Saturdays and Sundays as required.
