Fleet Controller / Coordinator

Summary of Post:

They are going through a period of rapid expansion at the moment and currently opening their 6th regional office. They currently cover Berkshire, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, and Norfolk areas.

They are currently in the process of expanding their fleet of cars that are available for their staff’s usage, and are seeking an experienced fleet manager to come on board and help with the management of this.

The successful Fleet controller / Coordinator will be:

• Accepting and allocating new vehicles onto the fleet
• Organizing vehicles for service or repair work whilst controlling costs, efficiency, quality and customer service objectives.
• Responsible for processing new damage notifications & repair
• Manage the fleet maintenance of customers’ fleet and the legalities of customers’ fleet.
• Experience in managing multiple customers across multiple locations and repair agents
• Responsible for completing all fuel documentation and ensure competent members of staff receive fuel deliveries in accordance with relevant legislation
• Responsible for validating service and MOT documentation, authorising on-going jobs within agreed authorization limits.

My client is looking for someone to be responsible for ensuring that the fleet is maintained to an exceptional and consistent standard, managing the repair and maintenance of our vehicles and ensuring that they are prepared to an excellent standard.

As a Fleet controller / Coordinator you will be / have:

• Understanding of fleet vehicles and transport industry.
• Excellent relationship building skills both internally and externally.
• IT literate with ability to utilise software to analyse information.
• Good organisational/planning skills.
• Accurate and efficient working style with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work with a strategic plan.
• Experience controlling costs and dealing with suppliers to maximise profit.
